SUNSHINE SUCCESS - EVENNETT CLAIMS FIRST NATIONAL GT 4 WIN AT QUEENSLAND
Camm Quarries and Concrete BF Racing GR Supra driver Lachlan Evennett has claimed his first win in the Monochrome GT4 Australia series, during Round 3 of the 2026 Monochrome GT4 Australia Championship at Queensland Raceway.
Evennet and co driver Andrew Torti had to overcome strong competion from many Supercar level drivers and also contend with wild weather before taking out victory in the Silver - Am Class.
Monochrome GT4 Australia put on an entertaining spectacle under the lights of Queensland Raceway as the series' teams and drivers navigated the changing conditions to complete a memorable outing at LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Queensland.
There was no shortage of drama in the Silver-Am Cup as Everett and Torti secured their first victory behind the wheel of the #88 CAMM Quarries & Concrete Racing GR Supra GT4 EVO2.
In second place for the class was Matthew McCutcheon and Tony Quinn in the #101 Game Over GR Supra GT4 EVO2, while Tufflift Racing by TSM’s Zac Soutar and Glenn Nirwan in the #75 McLaren Artura GT4 rounded out the podium.
The victory came after snatching the lead from the #28 Norganic Proteins Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS of Caleb Paterson and Scott Green.
That duo had led the class for the majority of the race thanks to some impressive driving from Paterson before Green ran into the side of the #114 Team Soutar Motorsport McLaren Artura GT4 of Will Exton and Jack Johnson, who had spun around in the middle of the track and brought out the safety car as a result of multiple cars being affected by the incident.
With Green stuck behind Johnson, it gave Quinn the lead and elevated Torti to second - with the former eventually chasing down the latter to ultimately claim the nine-second win.
The victory is the first in the highly competitive national series for both Evennett and Torti.
