Evennett shared the team’s No. 4 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 with Mees Houben in the Silver category. The pair remained firmly in contention throughout an unpredictable race contested in intense Italian summer conditions.

The race changed dramatically around the halfway point as several of the leading contenders encountered mechanical problems. Both front-row starters were forced out, while the TeamFloral Ford Mustang—which had appeared set to claim third place—later retired with suspension damage.

That opened the door for a fierce fight over the final podium position.

Evennett found himself battling with Pedro Garcia’s Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin and Harri Reynolds’ Elite Motorsport McLaren. As the two cars fought directly ahead of him, the Australian seized his opportunity and produced the decisive move of the race—passing both rivals to take control of third place.

It was a bold and perfectly timed manoeuvre under pressure, allowing Evennett to bring the Speedy Motorsport Toyota home on the overall podium behind race winners McKenzy Cresswell and Charlie Hart, and the second-placed Audi shared by Paul Petit and Gregory Guilvert.

The result represented an important achievement for Evennett and Speedy Motorsport during the team’s 2026 GT4 European Series campaign. Competing against a strong international field, the No. 4 Toyota combination converted a challenging and incident-filled race into a memorable top-three finish.

For Evennett, the Misano podium was further evidence of his ability to recognise an opportunity and execute when the pressure was at its highest.

A superb drive, a spectacular double pass and a thoroughly deserved European podium.
