EVENNETT CLAIMS THRILLING GT4 AUSTRALIA VICTORY IN DARWIN
Australian racing driver Lachlan Evennett continued his outstanding Monochrome GT4 Australia campaign with a hard-fought Silver-Am Cup victory at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin.

Sharing the No. 88 CAMM Quarries and Concrete Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 with Andrew Torti, Evennett helped secure the pair’s second Silver-Am victory in as many rounds following a dramatic opening race at the Darwin circuit.
Starting fourth in class, Evennett produced an impressive opening stint in the demanding Northern Territory conditions.
A fast and controlled drive brought the Toyota into contention for the lead as the race approached its mandatory pit-stop window. Evennett’s pace ensured the team was perfectly positioned when he handed the car over to Torti.
A rapid pit stop from the CAMM Quarries and Concrete Racing crew completed the turnaround, allowing Torti to rejoin the race at the head of the Silver-Am field.
The closing stages developed into a tense battle as the No. 88 Toyota came under sustained pressure from Dean Campbell in the Method Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4.
Torti remained composed under the late challenge and successfully defended the lead, bringing the Toyota home to claim victory by just eight-tenths of a second.
The result marked another significant achievement for Evennett, whose speed during the opening stint played a crucial role in transforming fourth position into a race-winning opportunity.
It also gave Evennett and Torti consecutive Silver-Am Cup victories and strengthened their position as one of the leading combinations in the championship.
For Evennett, the Darwin performance provided further evidence of his adaptability, racecraft and ability to deliver under pressure in one of Australia’s premier GT categories.
