Evennett was awarded the Queensland Future Star Award for 2025 after an exceptional 2025 season competing in Formula Ford, Trans Am and Toyota 86 GR Cup.

Representatives and members of the Queensland motorsport community attended the Broncos Leagues Club in Red Hill for the 2025 Queensland State Awards, proudly presented by Shannons.

The evening served as an opportunity for Motorsport Australia to recognise the contributions, achievements and milestones of Queensland-based members, participants, officials and clubs.

The evening was hosted by Motorsport Australia State and Club Competition Manager Bruce Astbury, and in attendance were Queensland State Council Chair Trevor Neumann, Queensland Elected Director Paul Woodward and Motorsport Australia President Andrew Fraser, who each addressed the audience and presented awards, acknowledging the contributions of members and athletes throughout the past year.

“Queensland has a proud motorsport tradition, and it’s fantastic to see the strength of the community recognised at these awards,” Fraser said.

The awards were presented to individuals who demonstrated exceptional dedication, commitment, and contributions to motorsport.

The 17 year old Queenslander said after receiving the award,

‘I am excited to be awarded the Queensland Future Star Award for 2025 by Motorsport Australia after a gruelling 2025 season competing in Formula Ford, Trans Am and Toyota 86 GR Cup. Thank you to @motorsport.australia and congratulations to all other award recipients. Here’s to an even better 2026”

2026 has already begun with a hectic, yet strong, start.

Driving in two rounds of the 2026 Summerset GTNZ Championship saw him take wins at both Teratonga and Highlands Motorsport Park, piloting the new Camm Quarries and Concrete Mike Carney Toyota BEL Energy Supra GT4 EVO2 car with Glen Chappel.

To add to this, after announcing that he will drive in the European GT season in 2026, again behind the wheel of the Toyota Supra GT4 EVO2, Evennett has already begun testing in Portugal.
