EVENNETT DELIVERS ANOTHER IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE - WINS AT SANDOWN

Lachlan Evennett continued his outstanding 2026 racing campaign with a superb performance at Sandown Raceway, highlighted by a Silver-Am Cup victory in the opening race of the Monochrome GT4 Australia season finale.

Sharing the #88 CAMM Quarries & Concrete Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 with Andrew Torti, Evennett immediately demonstrated his pace in qualifying. In a highly competitive and rain-affected first session, he secured second outright and second in Silver-Am, with an impressive 1:20.0773 lap time, narrowly missing pole position. The second qualifying session saw the pair secure sixth in class, 21st outright, for Sunday's race.

Saturday's opening 40-lap race delivered an outstanding result. Evennett made an excellent start, quickly moving into the Silver-Am lead before producing a composed and controlled opening stint. After handing the car to Torti, the pair maintained their advantage to secure a convincing class victory, finishing eighth outright.

Sunday's final race of the weekend provided another opportunity to demonstrate their speed. Over 42 laps, Evennett and Torti secured fifth in Silver-Am and 11th outright, with the car also recording a fastest lap of 1:14.2626.

The Sandown performance adds to what has already been a remarkable year for the 18-year-old.

Competing across Australia, New Zealand and Europe, Evennett has collected international podiums, including second outright at Zandvoort in the GT4 European Series, and a Pro-Bronze class victory at Valencia.

His next major challenge will be another significant career milestone, making his Dunlop Super2 Series debut with Garry Rogers Motorsport at the Adelaide Grand Final, November 26–30.

With international experience, race-winning form and another impressive GT4 performance behind him, Evennett continues to establish himself as one of Australia's exciting young racing talents.
