Evennett reaped the rewards for a inbounds drive, vaulting from eighth to third post-race.
Half points were awarded for Race 2, after a start line incident left James Moffat with significant damage and subsequently triggered a sizeable impact with the turn 8 wall. The clean-up resulted in the race being red flagged with just 3 laps completed.
Evennett and Jordan Cox engaged in a stunning battle for the podium places, with Evennett emerging in second while Cox was cleaned up as the innocent party.
