Previously Evennett had taken 2 wins at Teretonga Park in the previous round as well.
The New Zealand win follows Evennett’s recent podium finish at the Paul Ricard Circuit in France in the European GT season last week, again behind the wheel of the Toyota Supra GT4 EVO2.
Evennett has been signed by Toyota Racing Europe Customer team Speedy Motorsports to compete in the 2026 European GT4 Series in the Silver-Silver class in a Toyota Supra GT4 EVO 2.
He will next compete in the Australian GT4 Series at The Bend Shell V Power Motorsport Park in South Australia on 8th June.
The 2026 European GT Championship calendar in 2026 will involve racing at Circuit Paul Ricard, Monza, Spa-Francorchamps, Misano, Zandvoort and Portimao with Lachlan having done pre-season winter testing with Speedy Motorsports.
Lachlan will split his time between Europe and Australia/NZ in 2026 due to his various racing commitments across TRANSAM, GT4 Australia and GT4 New Zealand.
In addition to racing the Toyota Supra GT4 EVO 2 in the 2026 European GT4 Series , Lachlan has already begun competing in 2026 Monochrome GT4 Australia (with the new car run by Brett Francis of BF Racing) in the Silver-Am class with Andrew Torti (2025 AFFS 1600 champion) and will also run TRANSAM for Garry Rogers Motorsport in Australia.
